Pharrell Williams Launches Sustainable Cutlery. Designed in collaboration with studio Pentatonic, the Pebble is a sustainable picnic cutlery set envisioned by Pharrell Williams for the coronavirus pandemic.

Made from recycled CDs and recycled food packaging, the compact and portable design includes a knife, fork, spoon, straw, and chopsticks. This is the first item in the Otherware collection which includes items resulting from the collaboration between Pentatonic and Pharrell William‘s brand I Am Other.

“The wasted CDs are first sorted and cleaned which means separating and purifying the feedstock, removing and recycling where possible contaminants such as cases and foreign waste material,” said Pentatonic cofounder Jamie Hall, “A dining-set that stays with you wherever you go, offers the peace of mind of avoiding communal sources of cutlery when eating and drinking anywhere that’s not home.”

Priced at $59 USD, The Pebble weighs about the same as a smartphone and comes with a carabiner-style clip and lanyard so that it’s easier to take with you. The utensils are also dishwater safe.
