Biography
Adam is Vice President of Business Development for L’Oréal Research & Innovation in North America. He boasts a robust background in fostering partnerships across entrepreneurs, startups, investors, executives, researchers, and engineers to advance new technologies in the market. Since his start at L’Oréal in 2014, Adam has spearheaded initiatives to identify and form innovative collaborations with startups and craft business models for global technology partnerships. For example, he leads business development eOorts with key partner Verily Life Sciences across a range of strategic projects. His expertise spans several areas, including synthetic biology, digital health, regenerative beauty, anti-aging, microbiomes, wearables, and personalized cosmetics. Alongside L’Oréal’s Open Innovation team, he supports licensing, acquisitions, and equity investments in emerging technologies. He also represents L’Oréal as a Board Observer for Debut Bio. Before his tenure at L’Oréal, Adam had a varied career as a life sciences attorney, a co- founder of a technology startup, and a technology transfer professional dedicated to commercializing pioneering research. He holds a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
