Christy Coleman launched her career at the early age of 17, when she obtained her aesthetician license. At 19, she opened a skin care boutique where she first experimented with making her own products, defining her path to safer beauty. Christy eventually landed in New York City and assisted the renowned makeup artist, Kevyn Aucoin before establishing herself as a leading fashion and celebrity makeup artist. In addition to working with clients like Alessandra Ambrosio, Connie Britton, and Miranda Kerr, she consulted with many industry leaders on color and formula development.
In 2007, Christy made a groundbreaking commitment to use safer products- and in the process, became one of the first makeup artists to pioneer the space of clean beauty. After years of research and experimentation, Christy was ready to help set a new precedent in the industry when founder Gregg Renfrew tapped her to join Beautycounter in 2011. Currently, Christy informs product development and innovation by providing expert insights on industry practices and product performance.
